Nitrogen is a crucial plant nutrient. However, when used excessively, there is a risk of overfertilisation – with negative economic and ecological consequences. Farmers can see the nitrogen content of their crops in real time and receive optimised fertiliser recommendations via their smartphone using the LiveSen nitrate biosensor.
